Protection Home

Keertika Protection Home for Girls, run by Behala Keertika, provides a safe and nurturing environment for children in need of care and protection. Designed to support 25 girls, the home offers comprehensive care, including shelter, education, nutrition, healthcare, and psychological support, ensuring their holistic development.

Despite legal safeguards, female children in India continue to face discrimination, violence, and neglect due to deep-rooted societal biases and economic hardships. Many girls are abandoned, abused, or deprived of basic rights, often by their own families. Keertika Protection Home intervenes by providing security, education, life skills, and psychosocial support, empowering these children to overcome adversity and build independent futures.

Aligned with the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), Keertika focuses on the Right to Protection and Right to Development, ensuring a safe and enriching space where every girl can thrive. Since 2003, the home has been a beacon of hope, helping girls reclaim their childhood, rebuild their lives, and reintegrate into society with dignity.
